The Morvern Triathlon consists of the following three stages:
Swim - 400 meters across the Loch Aline narrows
Cycle - 9 kilometres on a mixture of rough land rover tracks (not suitable for road racing bikes) and quiet public roads
Run - 3 kilometres along the west bank of Loch Aline back to the starting point

Prize categories are:
Men - 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Women - 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Under 17 Boy - 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Under 17 Girl - 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Team - 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Instructions for the Triathlon are as follow:
1. Arrive at 1.00pm at the starting point, the Old pier Lochaline, to the side of the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry terminal to register (N.B registration will close at 1.30pm).
2. After registering take your bicycle, cycling gear, towels, shoes, etc, to the 1st transition area (Ferry Cottage), directly across the Loch from the starting point, assistance is available for people without motor vehicles.
3. Stop off at the 2nd transition area (Ivy Bridge) on your way back to the starting point if you need to leave any items for the running leg of the race such as trainers, water bottles, etc.
4. Return to the starting point for 1.45pm on the Old pier Lochaline, for race briefing.
5. The race will begin at 2.30pm prompt.
